Recycling Oil
The Waste Oils Directive dates from 1975 and is designed to create a harmonized system for collection, storage, recovery and disposal of waste oils such as lubricant oils for vehicles, turbines, gearboxes etc. The current UK regulations have been in force since 1987. Under the Directive Member States have to prioritise the regeneration of these oils where feasible.
