What we did
On Friday the 29th of March, the Nationwide team came to work wearing the silliest and most outlandish hats that we could find to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, a charity that is very important to us. We are proud to say we raised £74 in just one day and we hope to continue taking part in Wear A Hat Day every year. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any pictures because we were far too busy working so we thought we’d write a blog to spread the message.
Why we did it
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet only a very small percentage of the national spend on cancer research is used for this disease. Brain Tumour Research is committed to finding a cure and help the 16,000 people that are diagnosed every year.
How to get involved
Wear A Hat Day is an enjoyable fundraising opportunity that draws attention to an important issue and raises money for such a wonderful charity. Our team loved taking part. If you want to get involved, it is very easy. Just head to the Wear A Hat Day page on the Brain Tumour Research website and fill out the short form.
