Working at Height - Training Courses

We offer the following training options:

  • On-site training or at one of our accredited training centres
  • One-off and bespoke training
  • Individual or group training programmes

IPAF Operator

Internationally recognised training to use the powered access platforms in your line of work. Learn how to operate:

  • Static verticals
  • Static booms (including  vehicle mounted platforms)
  • Mobile verticals (scissor lifts)

Course duration: Up to two classifications can be taken in one day
PPE Required: Yes
Once achieved, the IPAF Powered Access Licence (PAL) is valid for five years.

IPAF MEWPs for Managers

Manage the selection and operation of the powered access equipment needed for your project. Ideal for supervisors and managers, the course includes training in:

  • Choosing the right MEWP for the task
  • Understanding the safe management of powered access
  • The regulations related to working at height
  • Correctly selecting fall protection equipment

Course duration: One Full Day
PPE Required: Yes

    

IPAF MEWP Harness Course

This course is designed for operators, supervisors and managers who are required to select and inspect appropriate harness and lanyards for usages. MEWPs. Complete this course to gain a greater understanding of:

  • The Work at Height Regulations and what they require
  • The types and suitability of various types of fall-arrest equipment
  • How to correctly don and complete inspections of harnesses

Course duration: Half Day
PPE Required: Yes

PASMA Mobile Aluminium Tower Training

Construct and inspect mobile aluminium towers safely. This  course combines a mixture of classroom and theoretical elements, covering:

  • An introduction to the legislation affecting the use of  aluminium towers
  • The safe construction, dismantling and inspection of towers
  • The identification of potential hazards
  • An introduction to Personal Protective Equipment  (PPE)

Course Duration: One Full Day

Nationwide Services offer a complete range of courses including IPAF Operator, demonstrator and instructor courses, as well as, PASMA, first aid, forklift driving and manual handling courses.

It is your employers’ responsibility to ensure that the operator is adequately trained, as stated in the following regulations:
